Challenge
Traditional education and workplace learning often fail to keep pace with how quickly skills evolve. Knowledge workers and creators need ways to learn and share expertise in real time, outside of rigid courses or formal classrooms. The challenge was to design a platform that could unlock this peer-to-peer exchange of skills while keeping sessions simple, impactful, and easy to join.
Objective
I set out to create a product that made it possible for anyone to be both a teacher and a learner, connecting individuals for just-in-time micro-learning. The goal was to validate whether structured one-to-one learning sessions could provide a meaningful, scalable alternative to traditional training.
Outcome
I led concept development, user research, and prototyping. Early pilots included startup communities and in-person “matching events” to test the dynamics of one-to-one learning. Insights from these sessions were translated into a Product Requirements Document (PRD) that defined the Unicorn Dojo platform. Key features included: dual learner/teacher profiles, interest-based topic tagging, real-time and scheduled video sessions, and AI-generated session recaps.

Impact
Unicorn Dojo remains in active development today and will be launching in 2026. The initial R&D work done established a strong product vision and roadmap aligned to our OKR's. Unicorn Dojo continues to re-imagine the role that teaching plays in learning and how learning itself can be more personalized and social.
